tilde is a series of product which made with FFF 3D printers. We seek the maximum practicability and productivity, and want to tackle the sense of beauty in FFF 3D printing technology by using a printing technique called “Ami-Gasane”. This “Ami-Gasane” technique makes the product warm and silky although tilde is made of plastic.

1. Who we are

tilde is created mainly by the members of Shingei-sha. We regard the FDM 3D printer as a craft-like machine, and aim to achieve a single perfection through repeated trial and error, crossing digital and analog technologies. The goal of this project is to restore an independent humanity by creating a small, independent economic sphere outside of the bloated capital and established systems.

tildeは主に新工芸舎のメンバーによって制作されています.FDM3Dプリンタを工芸的な機械と捉え、デジタルとアナログを横断しながら試行錯誤を繰り返すことによって一つの完成度を目指します。デジタル工作技術による工芸的なモノづくりの姿勢を復興を掲げ、肥大化した資本や既成のシステムの外側に独立した小さな経済圏を作ることによる自立的な人間性の回復を目指します.

Tilde is created mainly by the members of Shin-kogei-sha, who view the FDM 3D printer as a craft-like machine and aim for perfection through repeated trial and error, crossing digital and analog technologies. We are actively collaborating with external designers and artists.

2-1. Nozzle size

tilde uses nozzles with a larger diameter than those used in typical FDM 3D printing. Depending on the nozzle size, the texture can vary greatly. The result is a wide range of textures, from delicate lace to sturdy wicker structures.

Tilde uses nozzles with a larger diameter than those used in typical FDM 3D printing. The texture varies greatly depending on the size of the nozzle. A wide range of expression is possible, from the delicacy of lace to the sturdiness of rattan weaving.

予め複数の色のフィラメントを継いでおき、着色します.モデルによってフィラメントを継ぐ位置を計算することもできますし、ランダムに継いでおく乱継ぎなどもあります.

複数の色のフィラメントを一本に混ぜ合わせるホットエンドを使用して造形します.完全に混ざり合うわけではないので角度によって見える色が変わり、構造色のように見える場合もあります.
